David Barsamian Masquerades as Eqbal Ahmad and Noam Chomsky

Last year, when David Barsamian came to t2f, he talked about foreign policy, media, propaganda, corporate power and … himself. This time, he’s going to act. David has spent countless hours in conversation with the late Dr. Eqbal Ahmad and Noam Chomsky. If you haven’t had an opportunity to read the books based on the interviews, this is the session to attend. We’ll ask the questions and David will respond as Dr. Eqbal Ahmad and Noam Chomsky might have. David has also threatened to treat us to an unplugged rendition of a ghazal ;)

David Barsamian is the award winning founder and director of Alternative Radio, an independent weekly series based in Boulder, Colorado. He is a radio producer, journalist, author, and lecturer and has been working in radio since 1978. His interviews and articles appear regularly in The Progressive and Z Magazine. David’s latest books are “What We Say Goes” and “Imperial Ambitions” with Noam Chomsky, “Speaking of Empire & Resistance” with Tariq Ali and “Original Zinn” with Howard Zinn. His earlier books include “Propaganda and the Public Mind: Conversations with Noam Chomsky”; “Eqbal Ahmad: Confronting Empire” and “The Decline and Fall of Public Broadcasting”.
