The talk will focus on the craft and technologies behind camera acquisition, greenscreen, high dynamic range photography/video and post-production techniques used in film visual effects and contemporary photography practice.
Rehan will be demonstrating the planning and production process that goes into his work through selected indepth case studies.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A discussion session around the skills and aptitude required to become a good visual effects artist.
About the presenter:
Rehan Zia is a lecturer at the prestigious National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA), Bournemouth University, UK where he teaches visual effects. His students have gone on to work on the visual effects for blockbuster films such as Star Wars – The Force Awakens, Inception, Intersteller, Batman and Harry Potter film series as well as in the computer games industry.
Rehan is also doing a PhD based on his photography practice.
