Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman
Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman obtained his Ph.D. from Cambridge University in 1968 and was later honored by Cambridge’s prestigious degree of Doctor of Science (Sc.D.). Having over 761 publications in leading international journals in several fields of organic chemistry, he enjoys international renown. Presently Federal Minister/Chairman of the Higher Education Commission and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Science and Technology, Dr. Rahman also served as the Federal Minister for Science and Technology during 2000-02. During the course of an illustrious career, Dr. Rahman has received numerous awards including the UNESCO Science Prize as well as all four civil awards conferred by the Government of Pakistan. He was elected Fellow of Royal Society (London) in July 2006.
