Khalid Mahmood (Chairman)

Khalid Mahmood has been the managing director and CEO of Getz Pharma (Pvt) Limited, Pakistan, since its inception in 1995. Getz Pharma is the 2nd largest Pharmaceutical company and the largest pharmaceutical exporter of Pakistan. The company is one of the largest tax payers and employers of the country. Khalid currently serves on the board of the Zindagi Trust (www.zindagitrust.org) and the board of Eqbal Ahmed Center for Public Education. (www.eacpe.org). He has served as the president of the board of The World Wide Fund for Nature – Pakistan (WWF-P) during 2013-2015 and was its board member for six years. Khalid is a supporter of the preservation and development of music, theatre arts and culture, and supports programs and initiatives in the areas of education, health, and sports for the underprivileged communities. Khalid has an MBA from Rutgers School of Management, Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA and a B.S in Industrial Engineering from California State University, Pomona, California, USA.

Nadeem is the Chief Executive Officer of Herbion, which manufactures and markets natural medicines having operations in more than 25 countries of the world and employs over 1,200 people.  Its sales and marketing network is spread across Asia, Europe and North America. The company has manufacturing units in Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore.
He is a graduate of Peoples Friendship University, Moscow, Russia.
He has been  active in theatre, literary and social groups like Dastak, Research Forum and several literary organizations.
He is currently serving on the Board of Governors of WWF, Board of Directors of Pakistan Ukraine Business Council and several other professional and business bodies. Nadeem Khalid is the Honorary Counsul (designate) of Mongolia in Pakistan. His wife Hoori Noorani is a publisher of Urdu Books in Pakistan.

Nazish is an independent researcher with sixteen years of work experience in the social development sector in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq. Her various publications focus on the state; conflict; democratization; women’s rights and social change  — the most recent of which is ‘Women, Violence and the Jirga System in Pakistan’ published by the Gender Equity Program.
Awarded Senior Visitor Fellowship, Charles Wallace Trust at Oxford University, UK, she has previously been a member of the governing body of the Arts Council of Pakistan and a consultant for Lok Virsa, the national institute of folk heritage. She writes for Dawn newspaper and is an activist with the Women’s Action Forum.

Faisal Siddiqi

Faisal did a BSC in Sociology from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Law and MA from the University of Cambridge.
He is a practicing lawyer of the High Courts and Supreme Court of Pakistan. He is a former Advisor/Consultant to the Attorney General for Pakistan. He is also a Board Member of the Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research (PILER), Karachi, and is a Founding Trustee of the Legal Aid Foundation for Victims of Rape and Sexual Assault.
He, and his law firm, were also actively involved in the legal and political movement (2007 to 2009) for the successful restoration of the deposed Pakistani Superior Court judges, unconstitutionally suspended and removed by the then President, General Pervez Musharraf.
He has a varied general litigation practice in constitutional, civil and criminal law and specializes in pro-bono human rights litigation. His well-known human rights cases include the Baldia Factory fire case (case seeking justice and compensation for the 255 deceased workers of a 2012 factory fire in Pakistan), numerous cases representing victims of rape and gang rape, cases involving maladministration and lack of governance, cases involving the right to electricity and education.

Zaheer Kidvai

Zaheer was one of the Founder Members of PeaceNiche/T2F, having resigned soon after Sabeen’s assassination from the Board. Zaheer has now agreed to join the Board again. He was a mentor and advisor to Sabeen when she joined him after her 14th birthday.
Having sailed for 25 years in the Merchant Navy, he opened 3 computer companies in Pakistan and became a pioneer of New Media. He started the first New Media Department in Pakistan (Hamdard University). His CD-ROMs included the first in Pakistan for IBM as well as the famous ‘Faiz – Aaj Kay Najam’ that became an international hit. Both were ably done along with Sabeen’s programming and design.
Extremely fond of Eastern and Western Music, he also blogs, writes poetry, and is called upon to lecture here and abroad on several topics.

Khalid Mehmood

Khalid is Director, writer, and Actor on theatre, stage, films, and TV plays. As an activist, he brings much of that into the plays he writes, directs and performs.  Urdu and English Prose and poetry are his favorite pre-occupations,  and he uses his gifted and trained voice to read from these pieces of Literature to enthrall  audiences. He is also a  musician, and plays the  Eastern Classical Music on his various Flutes. Khalid currently heads the Dramatic Studies department at the National Academy of Performing Arts in Karachi, where he teaches voice and acting.
Khalid has a masters degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Davis. Khalid Ahmad was initially trained as an Engineer and taught at NED University, Karachi for several years. All this while, his interest in theatre and television continued to grow. In 1981, he finally decided to switch careers and went to study theatre at the LAMDA. Upon his return, he devoted himself to the performing arts.

Aisha Guzdar

Aisha is heading  Films d’Art, an independent film  production company based in Karachi. She has  made films on human rights and social issues, especially women’s rights Her film Silent Voices: Women home based workers in Pakistan won the best documentary  award at the Canadian Labour International Film Festival in 2010.
Her recent  film, The Honour Deception, is a short documentary on Honour Killings and the complications arising out of the Qisas and Diyat Law ( Law of Retribution). The film won the best documentary award–jury at the 2nd Shorts Delhi International Film Festival 2013.
