Fever Dreams
Join us at Faraar for an exhibition of works by Reem Khurshid
Opening Date: Thursday, 4th Feb 2010 | 5:30 pm
“Based in part on my experiences living in Karachi, Fever Dreams is a non linear narrative of the imprints this city has left on me, from monsoon power cuts to winter riots. It is the tale of a sojourn through deep waters, a subterranean world where fantasy and memory, myth and reality combine, and the possibility of escape, of finally coming up for air.
Reem Khurshid

Reem Khurshid was born in 1986. A self-taught artist, she divides her time between painting and creating customized apparel for fellow sneakerheads. In 2009, her work was published in CURVY, an annual art book celebrating one hundred established and upcoming female illustrators from around the world, and exhibited at the book launch held in Sydney, Australia. As resident artist/co-founder of indie netlabel Mooshy Moo, she has also produced album art for local acts Dalt Wisney and Mole. Fever Dreams is her first exhibition in Karachi.
