Join us as at T2F for an evening with Maniza Naqvi as she reads from Karachi: Our Stories in Our Words. The readings will be followed by a conversation and Q&A session moderated by Hani Yousuf.
In an informal café setting, Maniza will read her favorite passages from Karachi: Our Stories in Our Words. The book is a collection of stories by young writers about their experiences with this city of lights and insanity so many of us call home.
Maniza Naqvi is the book’s editor, a novelist and short story writer. Her other works include Mass Transit, On Air, Stay With Me, Sarajevo Saturdays and A Matter of Detail. Her play, That Sara Aziz, appeared in Shattering Stereotypes, and The Leftist and the Leader was featured in the anthology of Pakistani fiction for the South Asia Review. Her short story, A Brief Acquaintance, is included in the anthology Neither Night Nor Day. Maniza, winner of the Patras Bokhari Award for English literature, regularly writes fiction and essays and is the Monday Columnist for 3 Quarks Daily.
